Hi Alice, thanks for your question. It is not the first time we have been asked this. Herbs rarely have a one size fits all result as different bodies and temperaments respond differently to different plants. Not to say that this herb can’t have great effects on men but if your partner is not having the same response (ensuring he has been taking everyday and tried for at least a few weeks) as you then maybe it is not the best herb for him.
Ashwagandha is often used by women for stress and anxiety, regulating the menstrual cycle, improving sleep and supporting the adrenal/kidney system as well as tonifying the reproductive system which can support healthy libido.
If your partner is trying to reduce stress and anxiety he could try Damiana, Stress Less Tea or spagyric, or adaptogenic mushrooms such as cordyceps or reishi.
If he is trying to support the adrenal/kidney system then Damiana is also supportive (a bit of a wonder herb) or my personal favourite is the Superfeast Jing powder. Also, try to reduce stimulant intake, increase exercise and a balanced diet and aim to get as close to 8 hours sleep as possible.
If your partner is trying to increase his libido then you can’t go past Tongkat Ali Tincture. It is such a powerful testosterone booster. My favourite!
Hope this has been helpful and let me know if we can help with anything else! Thanks, Nick
